Around 1889 he married Ella L. ?, b.Aug 1874 in New York as were her parents. ^[1]

On 1 June 1900 he (age 31) was living in the Borough of Highlands, Middletown Township with wife Ella L (26), and sons Edward (10), John (8), and George (6). He was a clammer. ^[1]

On 1 June 1905 he (age 35) was living in Highlands with wife Ella L (32), and sons Edward (150), John (11), and George (10), Agnes (3), and Katie (1). He was a yacht captain. ^[2]
