Biography

Ambrose was born in London around 1545.

Educated Eton and Cambridge, admitted to King's College 1560, BA 1564; MA 1568 with LL.D from Trinity, Dublin 1581 [1]

He went to Ireland and in 1573 became a master in Chancery and resided at Finglas [2]

He married Anne Cusack daughter of Edward Cusack of Lismullen co. Meath, and his wife Elizabeth Aylmer. [2]

1604 From his house in Cabra in Dublin in a letter he referred to his 32 years in office and was knighted in August that year at Leixlip by Sir George Carey, Lord Deputy of Ireland [3]

He died in 1610. (Cooper, 11. 525; Midds. Pedigrees.)
