Captain John Neally Ford, Jr was born on 9 April 1773, in New Hampshire, United States. His father, also a captain - Captain John Neally Ford Sr, was 24 and his mother, Mehitable, was 24.
He married Polley Goodhue on 12 January 1798, in Nottingham, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States. They had at least 5 sons and 6 daughters, including:
