Biography
David was born in 1834. David, son of Alexr. Forbes & Jane McCulloch, was born on 1 November 1834 and baptised on 25 November 1834 in Auchterarder, Perthshire, Scotland.[1]
In the 1851 census, David (age 17), Scholar, was the son of Alexander Forbes at 85 Portland St, Gorbals, Lanarkshire. Also on this census Father Alexander age 41 Mother Jane 42, siblings James 15 and Alexander 12 [2]
David married Bessie Rogers on 25 Sep 1866.[3]
In the 1881 census, David (age 46), Salesman (Calico) (Cott Dlr), was the married head of household in Withington, Lancashire, England. Also on this census wife Bessie age 34, son Alexander 13 daughters Sarah 8 and jane 5. Also Bessies sister Helen Harriet Rogers age 23 . Governess.[4]
In the 1901 census, David (age 66), Calico Printing Salesman, was the widowed head of household in Withington, Lancashire, England.[5]
David's death (age 68) was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1903 in the Chorlton district.[6] David died on 8 December 1903 and their estate passed probate on 26 January 1904 in Lancashire, England.[7]
