Biography

Margaret (Forbes) Miller is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford, Illinois.

Margaret was born in 1840. She was the daughter of Duncan Forbes and Jannette Russell. ^[1]

She came to the United States with her family in 1842. They first settled in New York. ^[2]

In 1854 they moved to Rockford where her father build Forbes and Son Iron Foundry. ^[3]

She married Daniel Miller in 1868. ^[4]

Margaret passed away in 1869 after the birth of their son William. The baby was adopted and raised by her sister Janet.
