Joseph was born about 1855. He passed away about 1932.

Son of either Edward Forbus b.1805 Sc (Forbus-117) or Daniel Edward Forbus b.1823 (Forbus-133). census records are confusing. See profile for Edward Forbus b.1805 SC for census records in profile bio. The age of the inferred Father listed in the 1870 census record below for the profiles Joseph Forbes matches the age for Daniel Edward Forbus. I'm a descendant of Edward Forbus b.1805 and I match with descendants of Daniel Edward Forbus. It is possible that Edward Forbus b.1805 SC is the father of Daniel Edward Forbus b.1823 SC. Most of Edward's children were born in SC prior to his move to Coosa Co Alabama in 1840's. So Joseph would be a grandson if Daniel Edward Forbus was the first born child of Edward Forbus.

One of Edward Forbus b.1805's daughters Sara Catherine married a Richardson.

Two of his sons married Richardsons and a Rigsby.

There was a David Forbes Jr b.1808 (son of David Forbes and Margaret Sellers; Yancey or Edgecombe NC). that married a Sarah Richardson (of TN). Margaret Sellers has brothers buried at the same Pine Grove Cemetery in Coosa Co Alabama that has Richardson, Forbus, Johnston, Daniels and Rigsby relatives of mine.
