Ixon Fontenot was born on September 23, 1918 in Mamou, Evangeline, Louisiana, United States, son of Dorestan Fontenot (~1895– ) and Mattie Louise Fontenot (1897–1980).[1]
Frenchie (29) married Grace Mary Young (23) (born on June 11, 1924 in Mamou; daughter of Linzay Young and Armenie (McGee) Young) on March 16, 1948 in New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana. [citation needed]
Frenchie died on October 19, 1995 in Hurst, Tarrant, Texas, United States, aged 77. He is commemorated at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville, Tarrant County, Texas.[1]
