Dorothy Catherine Fontana was born on March 25, 1939 in Sussex, New Jersey to Charles "Carl" Fontana and Catherine Norman
She married Dennis J Skotak on 17 Oct 1981 in Los Angeles, California, USA[1] It is not believed that she had any children.
She died in Los Angeles on December 2, 2019 after a short illness.
D.C. was known primarily for her work on Star Trek, although she also worked on several other television series. She created original scripts, edited other person's scripts, and even worked as a producer on several television series.
She wrote several novels and was awarded the Morgan Cox award in 2002 by the Writers Guild of America. She was also inducted into the American Screenwriters Hall of Fame in both 1997 and 2002.
