Marcel was born in November. The first child of Morris Flax Queenie Ronayne. Her son Michael was taken away from her at birth by her mother. Marcel never married.

She lived alone in Yeoville, Johannesburg till retirement age, then she moved to Sandringham Gardens Jewish old age home, George Avenue, Sandringham, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Marcelle's funeral was at 1pm on 22 April 2015 at Westpark Cemetery, Johannesburg. She died in the Edenvale Hospital, South Africa from cardio arrest due to complications. She and Cynthia Flax were both at Sandringham Gardens Old Age Home.
