Erma Louise Fiste Bombeck was an American humorist who was tremendously popular for her humor column in newspapers describing suburban home life.
Erma Louise Fiste was born on February 21, 1927 in Bellbrook, Greene, Ohio, United States.
In 1930, Erma was living in Harrison, Montgomery, Ohio. [1]

Erma died on April 22, 1996 in San Francisco, California, United States, aged 69 following a kidney transplant that took place on April 3, 1996. In her 20s, she was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease which is an incurable and untreatable genetic condition. She kept this diagnosis secret throughout her life. Erma was buried in Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.[4][5]
