Anna was the daughter of William and Susan (Stewart) Fishburn of Pike County, Ohio, and the sister of John, Conrad, Andrew, Edwin, Polly, Willie (Anna's twin), Charles, and James. She married George Washington Blakeman on August 20, 1884, in Waverly, Pike County, Ohio. Her sister, Polly, married George's brother, John. George was a farmer in Indiana and Illinois. Their children were Orley, Earnest, Bessie, Alva Ross, Mary Odessa, William "Billy", Joseph, Andrew, and Stella.
