12. ↑ Germaine Sarlabous Vilardell is given as a potential first wife, the name Germaine does appear in a 1930 census record but with some uncertainty as to whether it is the right Joseph. It may not even be the correct Germaine, as this court record suggests she died in 1969, already widowed. Also there are Social Security records that name Marian as the mother of Marjorie, born in 1928. There is not much information at all on Ralph, just the 1950 census.
