Hugh Ferguson J.P. was born in Ireland.

Hugh was born 27 Jun 1897 at Ballybriest. He was the son of George Ferguson and Annie Wilkinson. ^[1]

On 2 Jun 1925, Cookstown district, he married Maggie Crooks, daughter of Nathaniel Crooks of Ballybriest. ^[2]

He attends the funeral of father-in-law Nathaniel Crooks (abt.1865-1931).

He became a J.P. in 1963. He was a member of Ballybriest L.O.L. & R.B.P., and the Apprentice Boys. ^[3]

He passed away 31 January 1981 age 83; of Ballybriest. There were 2 daughters, 6 sons, 23 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Burial was at Lissan. ^[3]
