I think we are related through the Kessinger-Greenawalt family on your father's side. — Bill Vincent

I appreciate your comments. I did not realize that I had my profile set to private. I looked around, but so far cannot find where to change the setting. Will keep looking. My father and his half brother put together a Butler Co. family genealogy. It states that John Richard Evans (Evans-47469) married Dona Kessinger on 2 March 19905 in Dexterville, Butler Co. Kentucky. Dona was born in 1885 and was the daughter of Alfred Kessinger and Hermina Daugherty.
Another link: Closter C. Evans, borne 20 April 1903 in Butler Co., married Ollie Mae Kessinger. She was born 19 June 1908 in Butler Co., daughter of John Kessinger and Sopia? . Ollie Mae died 12 Nov. 1986, Butler Co., and is buried in Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery., Butler Co. Closter died 15 Feb. 1963, buried in the same cemetery.

If and when I get into the pre-1700, my plan is to review the guidelines again, and go carefully. In this case I wanted to add a secondary source for Benjamin Banneker that is, in my opinion, well researched. I did make a small change about Maryland laws on intermarriage, none existed at the time, because I had learned of it while reading this book. I do not see myself working very often in pre-1700 because my access to primary resources is limited. Be happy, Bev Enslow (Felty-296)
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

After working with Gina Jarvis, I decided to try the USBH Connector Challenge. I have been working with Nathaniel Wilton Homer- a gentleman who died in the 911 tragedy. His family goes back to Barbados. Several relatives from Barbados were added. I decided to look at David Nathaniel Als-10 his uncle. This gentleman came from Barbados at the age of 10. He may have had two marriages. His second marriage was to Dr. Ann Yarborough-690. I am tell you this because, I believe she is Notable. I put a Notable sticker on her profile. Thought you might want to check and be sure everything is as it should be. Thanks, Bev Enslow (Felty-296)
I’m conducting the 6-month check in for the US Black Heritage Project. Because we are growing so fast, it’s not always possible for me to see what everyone’s working on.
I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on and if you are still happy being a part of the Topics team. Members can change teams at any time. I also see you still need to complete the PATH. Let me know if this is something you're ready to work on.
