Biography

John Houghton and "Mary Farrer his wife" were married in Lancaster, Massachusetts, on 22 January 1671/2 (recorded date is 22. 11. 1671.).[1]

According to John W. Houghton's 1912 genealogy of the Houghtons, Mary died 7 April 1724 [2]

There seems to be a son Johnathan born in 1672 that is not listed here

The Jno is short for Johnathan not John.

I really don't want to be disputatious, but having done genealogical work for over 50 years, I feel comfortable in saying that Jno is indeed short hand for John.
