Biography
Caleb was the son of Daniel Falkiner and Rebecca Blackwell.[1][2]
He was a merchant banker and established himself in Cork. He was also a quaker[3].
He married firstly Ruth, the daughter of Edward Riggs, in 1707.[4] They had issue[2]:
Ruth died in 1727,[2] and Caleb married Mary Newport. The marriage settlement was dated 25 January 1735.[5] They had issue[2]:
- Anne Falkiner m. John Lapp [6]
- Caroline Falkiner (1735 - 1794) m. John Minchin
His will of 1742 was proved in 1745, in it he refers to:[5]
- wife Mary, marriage settlement 25th January 1735
- son Riggs Falkiner, wife Mary Barker
- daughter Anne Falkiner
- daughter Elizabeth Herrick
- granddaughter Susanna Herrick
- son (in law) Edward Herrick.
