Biography Born 1956 , Baldwin, Long Island, New York, USA. Parents from Newport, Rhode Island USA. Mom’s family from Nova Scotia, great large family with easily traceable family tree and scads of DNA and GEDMATCH matches. Sadly my Dad’s father was the only one of 2 kids who had any children. His parents, my great grandparents were born in 1840’s Ireland. They fled sometime to England and were married in 1862. Their fathers were dead at the time and I have no idea where in Ireland they are from. Only get DNA matches to my cousins and I, ten per cent of my matches on Ancestry, 23 and me and GEDMATCH . One of my large group of matches are Leahy s , who I met through emails in Ancestry and whose relatives settled in Central Falls, Rhode Island, USA where my Great Grandparents emigrated to. We still do not know how we are related ! I just retired from Nursing after 42 years of Practice. Hoping to help others as the Leahy family has helped me ! Sources : GEDMATCH A658645 Ancestry DNA 23 and Me Edward Fahy and Catherine Corcoran GRO Wedding Certificate 1862 Accrington, Lowerfol Lancashire England Edward Fahy 1880 Central Falls, Rhode Island USA Census
There is a minor error showing on your profile page, which is easy to fix. All you need to do is do a return after the biography heading equal signs and the word Born. This will fix the error and clear the heading from view on your public page.
Thanks for writing a short biography, these are always nice to see.
1956 was a great year to be born my birthday is the end of the year. I am also a retired nurse although I did 33 years in the NHS in England before going into private training work
