Hello Kelly,

Are you still interested in continuing on your tree with us? You're still showing up as a French immigrant to New France in the categories, which is simply impossible. New France ended in 1763. Could you please remove the category from your profile? Thanks.

hello Kelly, your profile comes up in the category French immigrants to New France. While your ancestors might have been in that case, it is patently impossible for yourself to belong in that category. You simply cannot be that old.  :-D Please remove the category.

For several years I have thought Benjamin Whitehead Jr. from Queens New York was my gggggrandfather but recently have seen more data to indicate that my gggggrandfather is really Benjamin from Connecticut. Many years ago I had a telephone conversation with the New York archives in Albany confirmed that Benjamin Whitehead Jr. from New York nd Ann Carpenter had been issued a marriage license to be married (GOING FROM MEMORY HERE) June ?? 1764. The marriage license had been burned in a massive fire in the early 1900's but the index was still preserved. Hope this info may help you, and if so, I also have some research on the families.

Regards,

Hi Kelly,

I'm still lost on the Elizabeth Wise/Weinsoll debate. You're the only person who has stepped up to try to locate some information. I've never seen anything to explain the differing surnames - thank you for trying.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Hi Kelly, Sorry I am so late getting back to you on this. I calculated Michel Dumont's (Mike Demo) birthdate from his gravestone. I will post a picture. It says he died on Nov 1 1884, then says he was 66 years old. This is where I got the year of 1818. The month and day are a little more shaky. I certainly don't mind being corrected. Provable accuracy is always best! I would like to mention that often families back then had many children and often each family would have a Michel, Jean, Jean-Baptiste, Pierre, Edward etc. Also, most boys had the additional name of Joseph and girls had Mary or Marie. I had a heck of a time trying to figure out which Michel Gurette dit Dumont was MY Michel Gurette dit Dumont! No matter, I truly appreciate your diligent work. THANKS!!!

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let one of us know if you have questions! Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hello to you Kelly,

Yes we do have a connection way back. His name: Jean Baptiste Gagnon-183 - my 5th great grand father, yours, 7th. That is what the "relationship finder" gives. He married twice so, up to you to see which one was you great grand mother. Mine is Marie Anne Paré.

Great to have another "cousine" aboard!

According to parish records cited by A.C. Anderson, John Cogswell was baptized, not born, on 2 April 1592 in Westbury Leigh, Wiltshire, England. Jameson and others misread the Latin parish register.
