Andreas Sebastian Ernst kam als junger Mann 1714 nach Großbodungen, wo er bis zu seinem Tod das Amt des Schafmeisters innehatte. Er war mit Catharina Elisabeth Hopmann aus Sankt Andreasberg verheiratet. Zwölf Kinder gingen aus ihrer Ehe hervor:
