Biography

Charlotte was born 27 Jul 1900 and baptized 29 Jul 1900 at the home of Michel Belleau (abt.1820-abt.1900) in Garden Village, on the 29 Jul 1900. ^[1]She married in 1920 to Scott Emery in Sault Sainte Marie.^[2] Her first husband died of Tuberculosis 31 Jul 1937. She remarried Donat Lacoursière 20 Feb 1939.^[3] She was 39 years old when she died after a difficult labour/cesarian on 26 Mar 1939 when her daughter was 4 days old. ^[4]Her daughter Shirley Charlotte Lacoursière was adopted by Harry Malleau and her aunt Aurore Lacoursière from Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. ^[5]

Her last name at birth Emery also known as Lumère. No record of Shirley's adoption but always known her parents as Harry and Aurore Malleau (her aunt).^[5]
