Sarah (Emerson) Keen was born in Mellis, Suffolk, England.

Sarah was baptised in St Mary the Virgin Mellis on 21 January 1732/3, the daughter of Henry Annison and Amy.[1]

She married Henry Keen in St Mary the Virgin Gislingham on 25 December 1760.[2] The witnesses were Henry Emerson and John Howard.

On 5 Sep 1761 her husband, Henry Keen presented a settlement certificate from Whitton-cum-Thurlston to the parish of Wetheringsett for himself and his wife Sarah.[3]

Sarah and Henry had three children in Wetherinsett:

On 28 Sep 1765 Henry Keen presented a settlement certificate from Brooks Hamlet Ipswich (near Whitton) to the parish of Debenham for himself, his wife Sarah and his sons Henry, Richard and James.[7]

Sarah and Henry had a further five children in Debenham:

Henry was buried in St Mary & St Botolph Churchyard Whitton on 12 January 1812.[13]

Sarah was buried in St Mary & St Botolph Churchyard Whitton on 5 April 1823, aged 94.[14]
