Biography
Elizabeth (Ellison) Farrington was a pioneer settler in Oregon.
Elizabeth (Ellison) Farrington was involved in the westward expansion of the USA (Oregon Trail). See Trails and Wagon Trains.
Elizabeth was born 3 August 1833 in Jacksonville, Illinois. She was the daughter of Andrew Ellison and Elizabeth Repsher.
She married Nelson Goltra 12 August 1851 in Morgan County, Illinois.[1].
Elizabeth and Nelson crossed the plains on the Oregon Trail by ox train arriving in Oregon City 29 September1853. Nelson passed away in May 1859 following an accident.
Elizabeth married Keeler Farrington 24 February1861 in Douglas County, Oregon.[2]
She passed away 18 September 1894 in Eugene, Oregon. Burial at Eugene Pioneer Cemetery, Eugene, Lane County, Oregon.
