Biography
Mary, daughter of Hellen Elderkin, was baptised on 1 October 1775 in Long Stow, Huntingdonshire, England.[1]
Mary married Richard Green on 8 December 1795 in Riseley, Bedfordshire, England.[2]
After Richard's death in 1812, Mary remarried. Her second husband was John Osborne. Mary married John Osborne in 1815 in Thurleigh, Bedfordshire, England.[3]
Mary was still living in 1858 when she was mentioned as being "very feable" in a letter from her son John to her son William who had emigrated to Michigan. Also mentioned in the letter were her children Benjamin, in Australia, and Charles, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary. It is also clear from the letter that the family were Chapel goers, rather than members of the established church. Media
