Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz, James!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello James, You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum. You might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)

Hi!

How are you? I'm Guy, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Intrigued with the idea of a world Wiki-tree- and have seen a couple excellent pages show up in Google searches. So I'm here just to poke around a bit before diving in with a gedcom and my 2-bits.
