Bengt was born in the rural village of Baltak in 1922 to Gustav Ekeblad and his wife Ingeborg Lindström, who were both school teachers.[1][2]
Like his siblings Bengt went to secondary school in Göteborg. He pursued a career as an engineer for the Royal Swedish Telephone Company. He met his future wife when they were both taking courses at the Telephone Company School in Stockholm.
Bengt Östen Ekeblad and Anna Elisabet Persson married in Arboga 8 June 1946[3]
From the time of their marriage Bengt and Anna Lisa lived in Jönköping, where Bengt was stationed as a telephone engineer. Two daughters were born in Jönköping.[4] In the autumn 1953 Bengt was transfered to a central department in Stockholm. The family moved after in April 1954and a third daughter was born the same year.[5] By 1968 Bengt Ekeblad was head of the Department for Rationalization of Royal Swedish Telephone Company.[6]
By 1975the daughters had flewn the nest.[7] The first grandchildren had arrived.
As a widower in 1991 Bengt Ekeblad moved to Göteborg, where he died in 18 July 2003.[8]
