On 26 July 1928, she was divorced from George Smith, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

On 2 December 1930, she married Donald Eldrege Wilbur, in Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
Donald lived at 728 Delaware Avenue, Bethlehem, and was a clerk
Kathryn living at 613 Alter Street, Hazelton, and was a clerk.

They apparently had no children.
In 1940, Donald and Katherine were living at 1914 Congress Street, ward 11, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
Donald worked 42 hours the week of 24 March, and had earned $2,800 in 52 weeks work in 1939.
He was a system operator for a public utility.

On 8 December 1961, she died at home, 57 Benjamine Avenue, Conyngham, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania,
She committed suicide by suffocating herself with a plastic bag.
On 12 December, she was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

'Miss Katherine Eggert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eggert, 419 Harrison street, and George R. Smith, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Smith, 2130 Allen street, were united in marriage at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Andrew's Reformed church, Ninth and Gordon streets. There were no attendants.
'The bride was beautifully gowned in grey. Her large picture hat, shoes and hosiery matched the ensemble suit. Her corsate bouquet was of pink roses and sweet peas.
'After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride to the bridal party, immediate families and a few close friends. The happy couple left on a wedding trip to New York City. They will be at home to their friends after Sunday at the home of the bridegroom's parents. They will be given a reception on their return.
'Mr. Smith is proprietor of Smith's Drug store at Fifth and Gordon streets. He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College. Both young people are well known to a large circle of friends'

'Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother, Conrad Eggert, Allentown; and two sisters, Mrs. Juliana Ecert and Mrs. Henrietta Reinsmith, Allentown.
'The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Daniel Snyder Funeral Home, 527 Center street, Bethlehem.
