Biography

Sarah was born about 1821 in Twickenham, Middlesex and was baptised 2 Feb 1821 at St Mary the Virgin at Twickenham. She was the daughter of Samuel East and Mary Lee. Samuel was described as a wheelwright.^[1]

She emigrated to Australia with her family on board the Africaine in 1836. ^{[2] [3]}

Sarah East (Spinster, age Full) married William Martin (Widower, Full Age) on 11 October 1844 in Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. ^[4]

She passed away in 1848, aged 27 and leaving a two year old daughter. ^[5] She was buried at the West Terrace Cemetery in Adelaide, South Australia. ^[6]
