Sarah was born about 1821 in Twickenham, Middlesex and was baptised 2 Feb 1821 at St Mary the Virgin at Twickenham. She was the daughter of Samuel East and Mary Lee. Samuel was described as a wheelwright.[1]
She emigrated to Australia with her family on board the Africaine in 1836.

Sarah East (Spinster, age Full) married William Martin (Widower, Full Age) on 11 October 1844 in Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.

She passed away in 1848, aged 27 and leaving a two year old daughter.

She was buried at the West Terrace Cemetery in Adelaide, South Australia. [6]
