Biography

Josephine was born in 1854. She passed away in 1936. She was approximately 3 years old when her father died as a result of the American Civil War. It is not clear whether his death was due to injury or illness. He was a Sargent on the Union side. Her mother then, several years later, married John Speed Smith.
