William (Eakin) Aiken was born in Ireland.

William was born about 1817. William, Margaret, Robert (age 4), and Isabella (age 6 months) are found among the list of passengers for the ship "Lord Maidstone" 25 Mar - 8 May 1848, from Derry Port to Saint John; surname still spelled "Eakin" on departure, but "Aiken" once in New Brunswick.[1]. They settled in York County, New Brunswick. He passed away in 1894. [2]
