Angelle was born 25 May 1855 and was baptized the next day in la cathédrale St-Germain de Rimouski. She was the daughter of Augustin Déchêne and Délina Lepage. Her godparents were Pierre Déchêne and Gatienne Déchêne, no signatures. [1]
On 22 Sep 1879, in la cathédrale St-Germain de Rimouski, Majorique Therriault minor son of Nazaire Therriault and the late Hermine Marquis married Angèle Déchêne adult daughter of the late Augustin Déchêne and Délina Lepage. Witnesses were the groom's father and the bride's stepfather, Joseph Rousseau, no signatures. [2]
Majorique Therriault and Angèle Déchêne moved to Chapleau in about 1884 according to his death registration. [3]
She passed away before 1891 when her husband remarried:
On 6 Sep 1891, in Ste-Anne de Sudbury, Majoric Thériault, born in l'Isle-Verte, son of Nazaire Thériault and Hermine Marquis married a second time to Marguerite Filion, born in Ontario, her first marriage, daughter of Luc Filion and Rosalie Benoit. Witness was Joseph Malo. [4]

Research Notes
Possible record of her death:
Angèle Thériault, age 37, died of cancer on 29 Sep 1890 and was buried the next day in Chapleau cemetery. The record gives her place of birth as Chapleau which could indicate this is a different person. [8]
Family lore from a great grandaughter of Majorique Thériault:
In 1886, Majorique Thériault, Angelina, and their children moved to Chapleau Ontario for work. In August 1891 Angelina died in childbirth, and Majorique took the children to live with his family in Québec. He remarried shortly afterwards and brought four of his children back to Chapleau, leaving Joseph, born about 1879, with his mother's family in Québec, who adopted him.
It is not clear that Joseph Thériault was the son of Majorique Thériault because of the following observations:
Joseph was born prior to Majorique Thériault and Angèle Deschenes being married and he was not "recognized as legitimate" at the marriage.
It would have been unusual for Majorique Thériault to leave his first born son with his wife's family unless the child was not his or the child had significant physical or behavioural disabilities.
A Joseph Thériault of the appropriate age appears in the 1891 Census of Canada in what appears to be an institution in Lévis. I have found no other Joseph Thériault born in that time frame that could be this child. [9]Joseph Morin is already living with his adoptive parents in that census.
Majorique Thériault is believed by many Tree builders to be the father of Joseph Thériault. The further belief is that Joseph Thériault was adopted and became known as Joseph Morin. However DNA of a granddaughter of Joseph Morin disproves the theory that Joseph Morin is a son of Majorique Thériault or Angèle Deschenes. There is no DNA relationship between descendants of the couple Majorique Thériault and Angèle Deschenes and Joseph Morin's granddaughter. Furthermore Majorique Thériault and Angèle Deschenes's ancestors were in Kamouraska, Rimouski and Rivière-du-Loup for generations. Joseph Morin's granddaughter's DNA clearly links Joseph Morin's DNA only to the area of L'Islet.
