Hello Steve,

Greetings to Australia. Thank you for agreeing to me being on your Trusted List. I see the ancestry we share is the Deeble family. I don't know much about them except that they (and the Duttons) were members of the Sandemanian Christian sect. My great-great-grandmother was Mary Deeble who married William Proctor. He was a pharmacist in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. They had several children, their son Alfred being my great-grandfather. He was an analytical chemist. Another of their sons was Barnard Simpson Proctor who was a pharmacist and set up the Pharmacy Department of Kings College, then the Medicine Faculty of Durham University (later to become the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne). Mary Deeble was the daughter of William Deeble and Mary Barnard. Mary Barnard was the daughter of Edward Barnard (a noted silversmith) and Mary Gastineau, whose grandparents came to England as Huguenot refugees.

I've had a DNA test and I'm wondering if you have too.

Best wishes, Judith
