Biography

R. Palme Dutt was born in Cambridge to and Indian father and a Swedish mother. He was an early member of the Communist Party of Great Britain, and a high profile member throughout his life. He was the party's General Secretary around the start of WWII. He was editor of the Worker's Weekly from 1922 until 1925. He was also the editor of Labour Monthly, a publication he started.

R. Palme Dutt was the second husband of Salme Murrik (Pekkala).
