Dr. Cornelius Dupont purchased Branford's Plantation, 15 Mar 1820.[4][12] After his death his property was conveyed to Dr. William Moultrie Brailsford.[13][14][15]

Dr. Cornelius Dupont had a number of enslaved persons who were named in his probate papers.[9] These persons will be recorded on his plantation page.
