Biography

George was born about 1820 to John Duncan and Barbara Kay and baptised 17 Sep 1820 in Crail, Fife. ^[1]

George was married to Margaret Dryburgh 05 Mar 1847 in Carnbee, Fife. ^[2] The marriage was also recorded in Crail.^[3]

George was enumerated in the 1851 Scotland census living at the Westgate in Crail, Fife. He was a 30 year old baker, born in Crail. His wife Margaret was 25 and born in Carnbee. The have two children: John 3. and Jane T. 6 mos.^[4]

Sometime between 1851 and 1861 the family immigrated to Australia.

George passed away 22 Jul 1906 in Sunbury, Hume City, Victoria. He is buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery. ^[5]
