Biography

Jean, son of Antoine Duheme and of Marie Villé, was born and baptized about 1722 at St-Pierre, Coupet, ev. Agen, Guyenne (auj. Clermont-Soubiran, ar. Agen, Lot-et-Garonne). [1] [2]

Jean Duhemme dit Quercy, Regiment soldier, son of the late Antoine Duhemme and of late Marie Villé of St-Pierre de Caupet, diocèse d'Agen, Guienne, and Marie Charlotte Dubreuil, widow of François Vésina, daughter of late Jean-Etienne Dubreuil and of late Marie-Charlotte Janis, were married on 24 Nov 1757 in Quebec. [3] [4] The couple had 5 children, but most of them died young: [5]

  2. Marie Angélique Louise (1762-1764)
  3. Jean Baptiste (1764-1767)
  4. Antoine (1767-1769)
  5. Marie Marguerite (1770-1820, m. Louis Etienne Biron)

Jean Duhemme dit Quercy died on 11 Feb 1775, aged about 53, and was buried the next day at Montréal. [6]
