Biography
Leocade Dufour was born and baptised on 4 January 1833 in Trois-Pistoles, Bas-Canada. Her parents were Étienne Dufour and Julie Lévesque.[1][2]
In the 1851 census, Leocadie (age 18) lived in Trois Pistoles, Canada East (Quebec) with her parents, Etienne and Julie, and her siblings.[3]
Léocadie Dufour married Louis Dion, son of Jean Baptiste Dion and Marie Luce Hervé, on August 16, 1853 in Trois-Pistoles.[4][5] Their daughter was:
- Marie Léocadie Dion, born 10 May 1854
Three days after giving birth to her daughter, Léocadie Dufour passed away on 13 May 1854 being given the age of 20 years old on the record. Her burial was two days later in Trois-Pistoles.[6][7]
