Many family trees show him as married to Mathilde Saucier, married in Hogansburg, Franklin, New York. per the US Gen Web Archives, the records are difficult to transcribe and do not include parents in the marriage record. This individual was the child of Theodore Saucier and Sophie Dancosse, but allegedly went by the last name Chatel, as she was born after her mother remarried to to Antoine Chatel. [2]
It also appears he may have used the last name O'Brien, though it is unclear why this would be. This is unverified.
