Jean Baptiste Dubreuil was from Saint Anne, Montreal, Canada. He began in the fur trade, in 1806, with Wilson Price Hunt’s PFC Overland party, in St. Louis, around Sept 1810.
He was an overland Astorian, a hunter and a boatman. Settled with his wife on French Prairie. Followed the gold rush to California where he died in the gold fields.
Second marriage: 9 Jul 1839 Marguerite Yougoulhta - Yukleta, a Chinook. (She wed Charles Plante after his death.)
