Additional Notes on possible daughter Susannah (Dry) Cline 1785-1860.
Taken from Cabarrus Geneological Society: "Although I found no records identifiying the parentage of Susannah Dry, wife of David Cline, I strongly suspect they were Andrew Dry (1862-c.1812) and his wife Barbara Teem/Thieme (1864-before 1812).
Karl/Charles Doerr (Dry) and Christine Muss were married and had two sons, Ullrich/Owen (b. 1757) and J. Martin (1759) in Montgomery, Co., Pennsylvania. The family came to what is now eastern Cabarrus County where sons Philip and Andrew (b. 1762) were born. A Jacob Dry also lived in Cabarrus County at the time, but he and his family moved to Kentucky about 1790. The dates suggest that Susannah was a child of one of the four sons of Charles and Christine. The children of Owen and Martin are well defined in will and probate records, therefore Susannah is not likely from Owen or Martin. Philip is thought to have had four children, three boys, but the fourth is unidentified and could be a possibilty.
The following is what was found regarding the fourth son, Andrew Dry, and wife Barbara Teem:
According to the book The Dry and Related Families by Mary Jo and Randy Dry, they have six identified children: Charles, Christina, John B., Sophia, Matthias, and Mary. Was Susannah another?
Son Charles married Easter/Esther Misenheimer. Daughter Christina married Jacob Misenheimer. Susannah Dry and David Cline were married by John Misenheimer. Suggests a possible family relationship.
Barbara Teem's parents were Jacob Teem and Susanna Rose Beaver. She may have named a daughter after her mother."
