Biography
Son of Robert West Turner Douthit and Sallie Bailey.
Alvis was aged 6 in 1920, living in Yadkin County, North Carolina with his parents and brothers Carl and Aaron. Their race was recorded as mulatto.[1]
In 1930 Alvis was age 16. The family was living in Lewisville, North Carolina. He was living with his parents and siblings Carl, Linville, Russel, May, Ruby and Garner.[2]
He married Thelma Perry 7 Sep 1935 in Forsyth County, North Carolina.[3]
He died at age 77. He was in the tobacco industry.[4]
