George was the son and heir of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earld of Angus, born in 1469.[1][2]
He married Elizabeth Drummond, daughter of John, first Lord Drummond, before Mar 1487/8 in Drummond, Scotland and had issue:
He was one of two hundred kinsmen killed at the Battle of Flodden Field[2][4] and died before he could succeed to the Earldom.
