William Douglas of Plainfield, Connecticut (b. 19 Feb 1672-3 in New London[1] - d. 13 Sep 1719 at Plainfield[2]) was the son of William and Abiah (Hough) Douglas.

In 1696, he married Sarah Proctor.[3] (This is NOT the Sarah Proctor of the Salem Witch Trials.)
