He married unknown and she died before 1850. Possibly Maria who was on the same ship arriving in Baltimore.
In 1850 George Dorn was living in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, United States with his family. He was 30 years old born in Germany, working as a cooper. No wife is listed with him, but sons John 7 and Andrew 2 are. His sons were both born in Ohio. They are living in the home of his parents Francis & Mary Dorn.[1]

George Dorn served in Company C of the 16th Indiana Volunteer Infantry during the United States civil war. He enlisted 23 Apr 1861 and was discharged 14 May 1862.[2]
In 1870 George Dorn was living in in the California Post Office, Walker Township, Moniteau County, Missouri, United States with his family. He was 53 born in Bavaria, working as a laborer. His wife Sophia J was 55 born in Baden. The others in the home were children: John 24 born in Bavaria; Andrew 21 born in Ohio; William 18 born in Ohio.[3]
In 1880 George Dorn was living in Peru Township, Miami County, Indiana, United States in the home of his son. He was 61 born in Germany and working as a cooper. His wife Sophia was 61 born in Germany. The head of house Wm Dorn was 29 born in Germany and working in a lumber yard. His wife Mary was 29 born in Ohio.[5]
Add 1883 Ohio deed[7] Note: this is his mother's property so he must be the person mentioned in her will. John, John George, George and John need sorting out. His brother John George owned the property previously.
His last address before entering the soldiers home was Louisville, Kentucky.[2]

There is an Ann Seigle 1854-1916 who has George Dorn listed as father on her death record in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio.[13]

She was 36 (Oct 1863) born in Germany, immigrated in 1881, widowed, has 2 children with 2 living. The others in the home were children: Ida 18 (Apr 1882) born in Ohio, working as a cigar maker; Susie 10 (Sep 1889) born in Ohio.[14] We know she was a widow of a George from the 1898 city directory: 1898 Dayton Directory
