Genealogy Blog: Our Colorful Past
As of late March 2018, I have 55,200 people on my family tree, mostly on my mother's side. I've been using the Lafrance archive of the Drouin database along with research from the PRDH and GQAF to verify/confirm Québec blood relations. I've almost finished mapping all of the direct ancestors, their children and their grandchildren.
Featured Eurovision connections: Bob is 34 degrees from Agnetha Fältskog, 27 degrees from Anni-Frid Synni Reuß, 31 degrees from Corry Brokken, 16 degrees from Céline Dion, 29 degrees from Françoise Dorin, 29 degrees from France Gall, 34 degrees from Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, 34 degrees from Lill-Babs Svensson, 27 degrees from Olivia Newton-John, 37 degrees from Henriette Nanette Paërl, 36 degrees from Annie Schmidt and 21 degrees from Moira Kennedy on our single family tree. Oh, and hi cousin. :D
Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential.
The Quebecois project (leader - Greg Lavoie) and Irish Roots Project seem to fit your ancestors. Leaders Maria Maxwell and Leigh Murrin. Read the links to see how to join.
Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.
For questions, just ask on my page.
