Biography

From the book:- "The Langstaffs of Teesdale and Weardale, " by George Blundell Longstaff - Mary was born about 1637. My file shows her as Mary Barbary but I can no longer find the source of this information. [Chittem-20]

Barbary, daughter of Marke Dixon, was baptised on 17 February 1638 in Tynemouth, Northumberland, England.^[1]

Barbara died in April (Quaker 2nd month) 1709: her death was entered in the records of Darlington Quaker Monthly Meeting, and she was described as wife of George, who in a separate entry on the same page is described as of Raby.^[2]

Barbray was buried on 23 April 1709 in Darlington, Durham, England.^[3]
