John was born on 10 Sep 1910 in Rossford Ohio. He enlisted in the Navy Reserve on 30 December 1929. He would be honorably discharged on 29 December 1933. He was married three times. The first time was 10 Sep 1933, on his 23rd birthday.
He would enlist in the Amy on 1 August 1942. He was assigned to Company E, 63rd Infantry 6th Division. He would earn a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and an Oak Leaf Cluster. He was honorably discharged on 24 August 1942.
He would get married for the second time, to his first wife. And they would have three children. He would also take on two step children. He would marry his second wife in 1947. They would only be married for a year. John would die by suicide on 22 Feb 1948 in Toledo. He was laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania Ohio.
