Carl was Choctaw.

Carl was born 3 Oct 1898 at Loco, Pickens, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory[2], the son of Charles Dibrell and Allie Tucker. Carl passed away 24 May 1980 at Duncan, Stephens, Oklahoma. He is buried at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Duncan, Stephens County, Oklahoma.[3]
