Domenico di Miceli is born on 31 March 1859 in his parents' home on via Santo Rocco in Corleone and is baptized the next day, named after his maternal grandfather. He is the son of Calogero di Miceli, misuratore (probably land surveyor), and Salvatrice Carrabba.[1] His godparents are Francesco Marino and Antonina Marino, who are brother and sister and both unmarried.[2]
Domenico marries Nunzia Carmela Triolo, daughter of Giovanni Triolo and Lucia Tufanio, on 29 October 1881.[3]
According to his son Leoluca's civil birth record from 1894, Domenico is a trafficante (dealer, barterer).[4]
Domenico is named among membership in the Fratuzzi, the Mafia in Corleone, around 1900.[5]
