In 1925, the family emigrated from Ireland and settled in Putnam, Connecticut, in the northeastern corner of the state.
John Noel Dempsey married in Warren, Rhode Island to Mary Frey (daughter of Carl Frey) who was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. [2]
