Biography

Martha Nan Dekle was born in 1920 to Cecil Dekle and Ruth Rustin.^{[1] [2]} In 1938 she graduated from Miami Edison Senior High School. In the 1940 federal census her occupation was a stenographer at a mercantile bank and she was living with her mother and brother at Apartment 12, W 23nd Street, Miami, Florida.^[3] She married Bert Roberts at the Saint Stephens Episcopal Church, Coconut Grove, Florida. She is buried in Sunset Cemetery in Meigs, Georgia.^[4]
